name: Bossie
canon: The Walking Dead
age: 30+
canon point: after his death at Pope's hands
history: History
abilities: Bossie is an excellent hand to hand fighter, but he is also skilled with explosives, knives, kama, and all manner of firearms. He is highly skilled at survival in the wilderness as much of his life post-pandemic has left him wandering the woods with his people.
personality: Above everything else, Bossie is loyal. He carries Michael Turner's body on his back over ten miles through the woods to base, unwilling to leave behind a brother even when he's clearly dead. He is humble about this but even Pope commends him for doing it, thanking him first in private and then publicly in front of all the other Reapers.
He loves and feels deeply and openly. He is the Reaper we hear and see sobbing about losing someone--though his sobbing appears to be something he does often enough that Carver and Leah are resigned to it. Bossie will do whatever Pope asks, even if it means betraying his own virtues to do it, as we see when he sets fire to the shed Leah is in.
Bossie believes he and his 'siblings' are chosen by God. He has spent the past twelve years at least with a cult that has its own religion, believes its leader can hear God, and believes that they can survive everything because they are righteous. 'Righteous' is a malleable topic for the Reapers; they love one another fiercely but their days are spent attacking and destroying other settlements to take what they have, and then they move on to the next colony, believing it is their right by God to have what they take.
Bossie desires safety for his brothers and sisters and Pope. He wants to keep them alive, and he wants to keep them happy. There is nothing he won't do to ensure that, whether it's helping to destroy other colonies for their supplies, or hunting people down to please Pope despite heavy losses, or joining his brothers in mocking a new recruit.
Bossie fears losing his family. It breaks him apart to lose them, in ways it doesn't break the others. He fears death and he fights hard, and skillfully, to avoid it. He kills innocent people and takes what they have in order to keep himself and his family well fed, and he fears not being able to do that. He deeply fears not being trusted by Pope or his siblings; it scares him to be viewed as a coward.
